click to enlarge Through two required fundraising efforts, we raise more than 10% of our budget each year, helping us keep tuition costs low. The programs are:
- Scrip: Each family is required to deposit $125 at the beginning of the year which can be earned back by shopping through scrip programs.
- Annual Online Auction: Each family is required to donate or solicit 3 - 6 auction items and invite 10 people to take part in the online auction.
- Optional: Additional community-building programs that earn money for the school, like photo sharing site Picateers and t-shirt sales, are 100% optional.
Scrip
Our Scrip program requires a $125 deposit per family, which can then be earned back, if the family chooses, through various scrip programs. These may include paper scrip, eScrip and Schoolpop, but may vary each year. Families will receive a receipt acknowledging a tax-deductible donation to the school for any amount not earned back.
Your friends and family can contribute towards your scrip requirement as well. All they have to do is enroll in the programs. Just let us know who they are, so when the reports come back we know to account their contributions to you.
eScrip: Register your credit cards, grocery cards, and debit/ATM cards with eScrip using the CPNS eScrip ID#: 136556005. Then every time you use your registered cards at participating merchants, such as Safeway, Lunardi's, Mollie Stone's, Whole Foods and Ducky's Car Wash, CPNS will receive a contribution. eScrip reports your contributions to CPNS for us to track against your scrip requirement.
SchoolPop: Register online with SchoolPop and then always start your online shopping there. A percentage of every purchase will be donated to CPNS and tracked against your scrip requirement.
Paper Scrip: Purchase gift cards through school from Great Lakes participating merchants like Safeway, Starbucks and Peets, through our Paper Scrip program and get the biggest bang for your scrip buck.
Annual Online Auction
Everyone participates in our Annual Online Auction by donating or soliciting a minimum of 3 items and by inviting at least 10 people.
